Off Campus Online Databases:
Off Campus Database Access
- Faculty have OFF CAMPUS access to several databases covering
full-text articles from scholarly journals, magazines, newspapers
and government documents.
- From the Library home page: Click Journals/Magazines OFF CAMPUS
- OFF CAMPUS Database Login:
- Username= first part of Saddleback email. Example=jsmith1
- Password=the last four of your SSN plus 00. Example=432100
Borrowing Privileges:
Faculty may borrow up to 12 books at a time one:
- Must present valid photo ID
- Employment for the current semester is verified by the circulation staff
Books are loaned for the duration of the semester.
Interlibrary Loans:
Faculty may request items unavailable in the Saddleback College Library
through interlibrary loan (ILL). Depending on the responsiveness
of the lending library, materials arrive anywhere from one to three weeks
later. ILL requests may be made by completing a form at the reference desk.
Library Instruction:
The library offers several different types of instructional services to support
classroom teaching and student success. These services include credit courses
and the following Workshops:

- Ready Set Research
Library Material Suggestions:
We encourage faculty members to make recommendations for library acquisitions
These requests can be made by contacting your library liaison, or by
submitting the online form below:

New Courses:
When you are planning a new course or class assignment, let us know! Your
library liaison can work with you to ensure the library has materials necessary
to support your new course.

Reserves:
Faculty may place library or personal materials on reserve for students in the library.
All such items are for use in the library only. You can
make reserve arrangements at the Circulation Desk. Here is a Reserve
Materials Request Form (pdf), or you can contact Circulation Desk at ext. 4526
to arrange reserves. Please submit requests at least one week
(3 working days) before needed for class.
