Saddleback College Matriculation Process
Matriculation Process Document 
Step 1: Apply to Saddleback College - The process begins when a new or returning student submits an application to the Admissions and Records Office. If a student is designated to matriculate, they cannot register at the college or on-line until the Matriculation process is completed.
Step 2: Make an Assessment Test Appointment - Appointments for assessment testing are made at the Matriculation Office SSC 225-B. You can also call the Matriculation Office (949-582-4970) to obtain an appointment. A student cannot make a testing appointment without a South Orange County Community College District Student ID Number.
Note: If you have a severe physical, communication or visual limitation that might require testing accommodation or if you have extreme difficulty with reading, writing, spelling, math or understanding/remembering information, please contact the Special Services Office in the Student Services Center, Room 113 or at 949-582-4885 to make alternative arrangements.
Step 3: Online Orientation - click on the yellow link to the left to start the online orientation process and please remember you must enter your correct name and Saddleback College ID number at login and complete the exit quiz with a minimum of six correct answers to complete this step.
Step 4: Attend Your Assessment Test Appointment - Assessment testing in Math, English, and Reading and a short orientation are conducted in the Matriculation testing room located in the Student Services Center room 225-A. If you miss or can not attend your appointment please call the Matriculation Office (949-582-4970) to reschedule.
Step 5: Make Your Group Advisement Appointment - Appointments for group advisements are made at the Matriculation Office SSC 225-B. You can also call the Matriculation Office (949-582-4970) to obtain an appointment. A student can only make a group advisement appointment after completing the assessment tests.
Step 6: Attend Your Group Advisement Session - Interact with a counselor in a small group to address educational goals while you attend Saddleback College. Group Advisement sessions are usually located in room SSC-166 in the counseling office on the first floor. Do not leave without a signed educational plan from the counselor. You must attend your Group Advisement session or take course ASPY 1, ASPY 140 or ASPY 160 to complete the matriculation process. If you miss or can not attend your appointment please call the Matriculation Office (949-582-4970) to reschedule.
Step 7: Register for Classes! - You may register by online through My Site or in person at the Saddleback College Admissions and Records office located in room SSC-102.
