*US Economic History - Of particular interest is the Great Depression, and the Progressive Era.  Do government policies tend to help, hurt, or have largely no impact on US macroeconomic conditions?  How does the law of unintended consequences interfere with well-intentioned efforts?  How does human behavior and psychology impact markets and US history?  How has economics driven events in US History?
