Mission Viejo, CA – Ryan Even, Chair of the Photography Department at Saddleback College, is thrilled to announce the collaboration between the Photography Department and the City of Mission Viejo with the 3rd Annual Saddleback College Photography Show on November 22nd through December 20th. This juried exhibition of student work was created for class assignments during the 2013 academic year. The show includes all ability levels of photography from novice to advanced and offers a brief glimpse into the exceptional work performed by students enrolled in the photography program at Saddleback College. Since 2010, Saddleback Photography has been a completely digital program, allowing both the department and students to focus on the process of making good imagery while staying current on the latest technologies. The emphasis on conceptual intent and print quality is evidenced in the high degree of craftsmanship of the work produced by students, as well as the student success stories.
Bart McHenry, Dean of Fine Arts and Media Technology, stated, “I am thrilled to see our Saddleback College student photography exhibition at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center building a bridge between Saddleback College and the City of Mission Viejo. I encourage the public to visit the exhibit as I am very proud of the artistic accomplishments of our students. This exhibition is just the tip of the iceberg of what is going on here at Saddleback College, and we look forward to welcoming new art enthusiasts to our campus for future gallery openings and events.”
