Calling all English majors, undeclared majors, and bookworms: The Saddleback English Department warmly welcomes you to attend our second annual Putrid Poetry Party! Faculty will read the unintentionally hilarious poetry of William McGonagall, along with a few gems from the internet, and maybe even a poem or two written by one of your professors in her awkward junior high days. We will end with an open mic, so please bring any stinkers you’d like to share.
In addition to being entertaining, this free event will also be informative. Come meet the English department faculty, along with representatives from Wall, The Lariat, The Oxford Study Abroad Program, and Counseling. The goal is to build community, allow you to meet other students and faculty, and inform you about opportunities for English majors.
The event is from 3:30 – 5 pm Wednesday, November 15 in HS 145. Refreshments provided!
If you have any questions, please email Professor Shellie Ochi at firstname.lastname@example.org.
