Add Permit Codes

To add a student to your class, you must give the student a code or number referred to as an "add permit code." The codes are valid until their expiration date which will vary according to each specific class.

Expiration of Add Permit Codes (APC):
The deadlines for the Add Permit Codes are on the Add Permit Code forms and correspond to the "census date" on the top of each class roster. After students are issued the Add Permit Codes, direct them to register online prior to their expiration date. If students are not listed on your online roster, they are not enrolled and may not continue to attend your class or receive a final course grade.

  • To access your codes, please follow these steps:
From the Saddleback Homepage at www.saddleback.edu., log onto MySite.
  • Click onto "Manage APC Codes."
  • Enter the number of codes you wish to create and print for each class.
  • Click onto "Create."
  • On the next screen, click on "Create Print File."
  • When the document appears on the screen, choose "Print."

Blackboard

Course management system designed to present instructional content to students in fully online, hybrid, or on-campus classes. Through the use of Blackboard, instructors can provide students with course materials, discussion boards, virtual chat, online quizzes, lectures, tutorials, and more. They may supplement an on-campus class by putting their syllabus, grades, class announcements, and handouts onto Blackboard for each course.

Course shells for Blackboard will be created automatically by ticket number. Once the shell is created and activated, students will be added to the class through the registration process.
