E-mail System
All students and faculty are assigned a Saddleback College e-mail address. As a student, your email address is located on the top portion of your Student MySite.
How to access your student email?
New Students
Before you can Login to BlackBoard, College Email, Campus Computers or Campus Wireless, you must first Change your Password.
- Go to www.saddleback.edu. Click on “MySite.”
- Log in using your Student Number and PIN.
- Click on “Change PIN/Password” and then on “Change Password.”
- Enter your new password and click on the confirmation button.
- Log-on to your student email account at www.live.com using your new password.
You must be currently enrolled in courses at Saddleback to be able to access Campus Computers, Campus Wireless, or College Email. Your Username and College Email address is listed in MySite and is assigned to you within 72 hours of course enrollment.
Continuing Students
You will have login problems with Blackboard and your student email until you have changed your pin number to your new universal password (as noted in the instructions above). This change will provide a single sign-on to MySite, Blackboard, and Student Email
You will only need to do this ONCE.
How to forward your Saddleback College e-mail to a preferred address?
As a student, you can access your email via MySite or by forwarding your Saddleback College email to a different or preferred address.
To forward your email to a preferred address:
- Go to your MySite homepage.
- Click onto the navigation menu on the left to My Information
- Scroll down to Personal to Preferred Email
- Enter your Preferred Email and update
IMPORTANT: Students are encouraged to use their Saddleback College e-mail address via MySite or from www.saddleback.edu at EMAIL. Throughout the semester, faculty will be sending out important messages to students via a group e--mail system. Students may not receive these group emails if forwarded to a personal address.
How to e-mail your instructor?
To email your instructor, use the
 next to the instructor's name on the online class schedule.
Remember that your instructor may not be accessing his or her emails during the Summer or Winter breaks or on a regular basis throughout the semester.
