The Saddleback College research department supports the research and planning needs of approximately 80 instructional programs and 20 support service units on the Saddleback College campus. The research team collects, analyzes, interprets, synthesizes, and disseminates information in support of college accountability and compliance mandates and outcomes assessment and program review. The goal of the team is to contribute to continuous quality improvement and institutional effectiveness.
General functions of the office include accountability and compliance through federal and state reporting (i.e. IPEDS, Gainful Employment, and the Student Success Scorecard); providing secondary data analysis to support program/administrative unit review (AUR) processes, outcomes assessment, and strategic planning; and the development and implementation of a college survey research agenda in support of student success and strategic planning.
Using the navigation pane on the right, you will be able to find exemplars of campus-based research. The reports are divided by theme such as data reporting and survey research.
