Office of Planning, Research and Grants

The Office of Planning, Research and Grants (OPRG) facilitates college-wide continous improvement, innovation, data driven decision making, and accountability through the integration of strategic planning, institutional research, and resource development. Together, these functions play a central role in the decision-making needs of the college, promote institutional effectiveness, and sustain vitality in a rapidly changing environment.

As a Division under the Office of the College President, the OPRG is responsible for leadership, administration and advocacy in the functions of long and short-range strategic planning, institutional research, and resource development to enhance innovation and ensure student success.

OPRG's planning responsibilities also include leading development of the Education and Facilities Master Plan by coordinating the efforts of College constituents and facilitating the sharing of best practices.

The Research Office provides support to the Education Planning and Assessment Committee (EPA) for the integration of Student Learning Outcomes, Administrative Unit Outcomes, and Program Reviews with College planning and resource allocation processes. Research Office staff collaborate with the Academic Senate, Classified Senate, as well as college faculty and staff to enhance professional development programs to achieve college strategic planning and research goals.

The Grants Office provides assistance and oversight of the college's resource development efforts to support various college constituencies. Grants Office staff develop systems and processes to support the College’s efforts to secure state, federal, and foundation grants as well as other external funding sources for enhancement of special programs and institutional innovations related to student access and success.

OPRG designs and facilitates training, workshops, and presentations for the College community on all aspects of planning, research and resource development. We look forward to assisting you!
