INNOVATION

Due to the successful development of the National Science Foundation grant funded program, RapidTech, and the recruitment of experienced research grant savvy faculty, Saddleback is poised to take advantage of the current proliferation of Federal Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education grant funds. The College’s efforts will support the creation of university level research opportunities for Saddleback students!

PARTNERSHIP

The Saddleback Grants Office is aggressively seeking strategic alliances with our sister campuses Irvine Valley College and ATEP as well as developing more significant relationships with other community colleges and community non-profit organizations across California.  Successfully acquiring state and federal grant funds will require the College faculty, administration and staff to seek opportunities to form strategic partnerships and to explore innovative “outside the box” educational programs.

COLLABORATION

The grants analysts work with faculty, administrators and classified staff to develop funding opportunities which support academic and career technical educational programs which enhance and support student education. Due to the nature of grant activities, the Grants office plays a key role in encouraging the development and implementation of cutting edge educational programs and creating dialogue within the Saddleback College community to identify educational and career training trends and marketplace needs.
