"This Could Be You".

Barbara Tamialas, Professor: Saddleback’s Child Development program prepares students with theory-based and hands-on early childhood teacher education.  Our courses are convenient: on campus in the morning, afternoon, evenings and weekends, and online 24-7.

Jennifer Bang, Student: The Child Development program has taught me that I’m never too old to start something over.  It’s also taught me stick to it, you can finish and it’s also taught me how much I love children.

Barbara Tamialas, Professor: Students have many opportunities to apply their learning both with mentor teachers in our partner lab schools, and in the classroom.

Jennifer Bang, Student: As a mother of three who works full time it’s been a great benefit to have both the opportunity to come to campus and take classes as well as take classes online.   It’s afforded me the flexibility to get and finish my education that I would never have had before.

Ana Chavez, Student: The student teaching classes just gave me a different perspective because I have been teaching for a long time in my own classroom but I just never had that experience and that opened my eyes in a different way.

Barbara Tamialis, Professor: Successful completion of our child development program enables students to qualify for a state of California Child Development Permit and to transfer to bachelor’s degree programs. Our graduates make a difference in the lives of children.

Ana Chavez, Student: Thanks to Saddleback, I can go anywhere and I will.
