Saddleback College is located in Mission Viejo, California, a quiet residential community in Orange County, home of Disneyland. This modern picturesque city is just 40 miles south of culturally rich Los Angeles, north of San Diego and east of miles of sandy beaches of the Pacific Ocean. Southern California is known for its spectacular weather and as one of the most interesting places in the world. The campus is on a magnificent 200-acre hillside near the Pacific Ocean and San Bernardino mountains, a beautifully scenic location that offers a wide variety of outdoor activities.

The College
Saddleback College, one of two colleges in the South Orange County Community College District, is a two-year, postsecondary institution of higher education accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Founded in 1968, the college has served the south Orange County community for more than 35 years. The faculty are distinguished scholars in their fields and prominent members of the community. Many of them hold doctorates from universities in the U.S. and overseas. They provide educational excellence in more than 80 academic programs, services and activities for all students.
The College is known for its well equipped,
high-tech learning centers and laboratories, challenging academic curricula,
strong student support services and high transfer rates to prestigious universities,
like UC Irvine Berkeley, Los Angeles, and San Diego; University of Southern
California, and other premier institutions of higher education. Many students
transfer to four-year universities as juniors and earn higher grade point averages
than students who started as freshmen.
Although the college enrolls more than 24,000 students a semester, class sizes are small (25-30 students).
