Kindergarten Through 12th Grade
Concurrent Enrollment Program
Students Concurrently Enrolled in Kindergarten through Grade 8
Students currently enrolled in grades K-8 are eligible for concurrent enrollment up to six units at Saddleback College. This program is designed to enhance, not replace, the regular school experience. The student may choose from any class, except PE classes, currently offered in the Schedule of Classes. Enrollment is not guaranteed. All enrichment students are held accountable for all rules, regulations, and guidelines as enrolled college students. The following guidelines are required each semester of enrollment as an enrichment student.
Kindergarten through Grade 8 Students wishing to enroll should:
- Fill out an application for admission.
- Fill out a *Special Admission Request K-12 Students (available in the Saddleback College Admissions Office or local area schools). These forms must be signed by the student, parent and principal. In some instances, the instructor's and division dean’s signatures are required. A new concurrent enrollment permit must be submitted each semester. Return all completed forms to the Office of Admissions and Records.
- Take the math and English assessment placement tests. The dates and times for these tests are listed in the current Schedule of Classes or online.
- All students must meet all prerequisites for the classes in which they wish to enroll. You may have to provide a copy of your school transcripts as alternative assessment evidence. Check the current Schedule of Classes for information on prerequisites.
