EOPS & CARE - General Information

Extended Opportunity Program and S ervices (EOPS) is an outreach and retention program designed to assist low income and educationally disadvantaged students in achieving a college education. (All of the California community colleges have EOPS/CARE Programs)

As a part of EOPS, Cooperative Agencies R esources for Education (CARE) is an educational support/assistance program, within EOPS, for single head-of-household parents on the California Work Opportunities and Responsibility to Kids Program (CalWORKS)/Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) formally known as AFDC.
