Professor White is a Registered Nurse. Her academic achievements include Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Nursing, Minor Degree in Psychology. Since 1991 she has taught at Saddleback College and Santa Ana College. She has actively taught in a variety of health science programs including: clinical nursing, the psychiatric technician program and the medical assistant program.
Work Experience includes education and management including: Clinical Nurse Educator responsible for educating both nursing and ancillary staff in the SICU, PCSU, Trauma, Rapid Response Team and Respiratory Departments, instructor for BLS, PALS, CPI and Course Director for Advance Cardiac Life Support. Clinical Manager of Surgical Services, Perianesthesia Nurse, Med-Surg/Oncology and Emergency Department Nurse.
Currently, she is serving as the Department Chair of the Medical Assistant Program where she has worked consistently teaching Administrative and Clinical Medical Assisting courses and oversees the program.
Her role as associate faculty in the Medical Assisting Program at Saddleback College is one that incorporates all aspects of healthcare delivery including both clinical and administrative skills. Her current role has been most rewarding. She enjoys helping our students change their lives and the lives of their patients. Professor White is a life long learner dedicated to serving our students and helping them to achieve their success.
