Please see the qualification information and Instructions below on how to petition (apply) for a Degree, Transfer Certification, Certificate, or Occupational Skills Award in MySite.

Apply in MySite at the start of your last semester

Associate Degree Qualifications

  • Must have completed at least 45 units of degree coursework to apply

  • Must have submitted official transcripts to Admissions and Records from all college/universities for which coursework is to be used.

  • For students who have completed AP, IB, CLEP, ROP:
    Must have submitted official reports for Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate (IB), CLEP, or Regional Occupational Programs (ROP).

  • For students who have coursework from other countries:
    Must have submitted foreign transcripts through an approved credential evaluation service showing detailed course descriptions with unit and GPA breakdown.

  • If you have questions or concerns, please see a counselor prior to submitting an application.

Transfer Certification Qualifications

  • Must have submitted official transcripts to Admissions and Records from all college/universities for which coursework is to be used.

  • For students who have completed AP, IB, CLEP, ROP:

Certificate of Achievement Qualifications

  • Must have submitted official transcripts to Admissions and Records from all college/universities for which coursework is to be used.
  • For students who have completed AP, IB, CLEP, ROP:

  • Must have submitted transcript evaluation from an approved credential evaluation service showing detailed course descriptions with unit and GPA breakdown

Certificate of Competency

For students completing noncredit courses in a prescribed pathway, approved by the Chancellor’s Office, that prepares students to take credit coursework, including basic skills and ESL, a certificate of competency may be awarded.   A noncredit certificate of competency means a document confirming that a student enrolled in a noncredit educational program of noncredit courses has demonstrated achievement in a set of competencies that prepares him or her to progress in a career path or to undertake degree-applicable or nondegree-applicable credit courses.

  • Adult Education English as a Second Language - Advanced Level Certificate of Competency
  • Adult Education English as a Second Language - Beginning Level Certificate of Competency
  • Adult Education English as a Second Language - Intermediate Level Certificate of Competency
  • Adult Education High School Equivalency for Language Arts Success Certificate of Competency
  • Adult Education High School Equivalency for Mathematics Success Certificate of Competency
  • English as a Second Language - Beginning Level Certificate of Competency
  • English as a Second Language Advanced Level Certificate of Competency
  • English as a Second Language Intermediate Level Certificate of Competency

Certificate of Completion

For students completing noncredit courses in a prescribed pathway, approved by the Chancellor’s Office, leading to improved employability or job opportunities, a certificate of completion may be awarded.  A noncredit certificate of completion means a document confirming that a student has completed a noncredit educational program of noncredit courses that prepares students to progress in a career path or to take degree-applicable credit courses.

  • Clinical Lab Assistant and Phlebotomy Program Certificate of Completion
  • Communication Skills for Nursing Students Certificate of Completion
  • Emergency Nurse Training Program Certificate of Completion
  • Family Childcare Certificate of Completion
  • Home Health Aide Certificate of Completion
  • Microsoft Solutions Expert Certificate of Completion
  • Web and Mobile Developer Bootcamp Certificate of Completion

Occupational Skills Award Qualifications

  • At least one course required in the Occupational Skills Award must be completed at Saddleback College.

Instructions:

  1. Log in to Log in to MySite using your Student ID & PIN or your User ID & Password.On the menu section, select My Information and then Degrees/Certs/Transfers
  1. On the "My Awards" page, Click on the "Apply for Award" button.
     
  2. Select the type of award you wish to petition for (Transfer Certification, Associate Degree or Associate Degree for Transfer, Certificate of Achievement, Certificate of Competency, Certificate of Completion ,or Occupational Skills Award).

You may only make one award (type) selection at a time.  If you wish to select a different award type, finish the petition process for the first award and create a new petition for the second award.
