A Message from the Director:

Hey everyone, my name is Ishav Singh and I am the Director of Honors, Transfer and Career Technical Education for the year 2014-2015. I was born in India and was raised across the country because of my father's position in the military. After seven years, I moved to America and the rest is history. This is my second year at Saddleback and I plan to make the best of it! I am majoring in biology and am pursuing a career in the medical field. Currently, I hold a part time job and volunteer at Mission Viejo Hospital in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. I am passionate about playing music and maintaining a fit lifestyle. My ambition on the council is to put an emphasis on "community" in our community college. I plan to organize events to benefit the students of Saddleback and encourage students to really become involved. Feel free to contact me with any questions, comments or ideas regarding my position!

Hello ! My name is Nicole Iribarren. I am a biology major and I am hoping to transfer to UCSD or UC Davis. My dream is to become a dentist. I am currently shadowing at several dental offices and going on mission trips to provide health care to impoverished areas. Because of my passion for volunteering and helping those in need, I am determined to provide more volunteering opportunities for the Honors Student Council in order to get other Saddleback students involved to make a difference in our community. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comment

Hi, my name is Chantelle Gil and I am the Officer of Communications for the Honors Student Council. It is my second year on the Associated Student Government as a representative for the Honors Student Council. I am an International Studies major, and I am pursuing a career in International and Humanitarian law. I have enjoyed being a part of the Associated Student Government and being able to be the voice of the students, while representing the prodigious Honors Program at Saddleback College. It is with great elation that I look forward to what the school year entails and assisting Saddleback students in their pathway to success.

Howdy! My Name is Nolan Matter and I am the Financial Officer of Honors Student Council for the 2014-2015 school year. Growing up in rural NorCal, school options were limited; therefore my parents decided to have me homeschooled. The experience was good, but left me isolated from normal school opportunities. However, as a 16 year old I decided to commute 40 minutes each way in order to gain the public school experience. During my first year in public school, I became very active due to the numerous opportunities that I never had before. Ever since moving to SoCal in 2013, I have been working to bring this same mentality to Saddleback! Even though I am a second year studying political science and history, I want to continue to help teach and influence students by giving them the best school experience they can have. This task cannot be done alone; that is why the Honors Student Council as well as other student-led programs are here to help you achieve your academic goals.

Hello, my name is Apryl Boyd and I am the Event Coordinator for Honors Student Council this upcoming year. This is my first year at Saddleback as a Gaucho, but I have lived in Mission Viejo for the entirety of my life. I’m a global economics major and plan on minoring in French. I ultimately hope to one day work in the Embassy of France in Washington under the regional department of economics and be able to create a positive impact on a global level. I am eager to organize and coordinate events that will benefit Saddleback as a whole!
