Nutrition Certificate Program



The Nutrition Certificate program prepares students for a wide variety of dietary needs and employment opportunities. Employment possibilities include public agencies, day-care centers for the young and the elderly, food co-ops, recreation work, pregnancy clinics, education (such as preschool and elementary school), health clubs, gym and figure salons, nutritional supplement sales, and drug abuse clinics.

Associate Degree

Associate in Science Degree

Completion of the certificate program and a minimum of 60 units including the general education requirements with an overall GPA of 2.0 qualifies the student for the Associate in Science degree. A minimum of 12 units must be completed at Saddleback College.


With the completion of an Associate Degree or satisfying transfer requirements to a University, there are opportunities to obtain a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition.
