California College Promise Grant (CCPG)

This is probably the most popular financial aid program at Saddleback College. It waives enrollment fees for eligible residents of California. For best results, apply several months before you plan to register for classes. Eligible family size and income standards are:

Family Size / Income 2017/2018

Number in Household Income Ceiling

1

$17,820

2

$24,030

3

$30,240

4

$36,450

5

$42,660

6

$48,870

7

$55,095

8

$61,335

Each additional family member $6,240

If you have already registered and paid your fees, you can still apply for a CCPG. If you are eligible for the CCPG, you can then request a refund of your enrollment fees (but only for the semester in which you apply).

Note: Saddleback College prefers to use the FAFSA application to determine eligibility for the California College Promise Grant (CCPG). We prefer the FAFSA because more students qualify for the fee waiver using the federal eligibility index number than would qualify if we were to use the more restrictive guidelines on the shorter state CCPG application. Students are strongly encouraged to complete their FAFSA application online for consideration for CCPG and other eligible financial assistance.
