Galileo STEAM Camp

Galileo is excited to partner with Saddleback College CUSD Summer Experience to bring Camp Galileo to CUSD students. Since our first summer in 2002 in the Bay Area, Galileo has been working to further our mission of “developing innovators who envision and create a better world.”  We now have over 70 programs in the Bay Area, SoCal, and Chicago and impact over 30,000 kids each year!

At Galileo, we get pre-K – 5th graders immersed in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math). Our thoughtfully crafted, hands-on projects teach campers real-world science, technology and engineering, plus art and design skills that offer creative new avenues for innovation.  In a fun day camp environment, supported by our experienced staff, campers grow with us, learning invaluable project-based design skills as they become confident creators ready to express themselves fearlessly, lead boldly and turn their ideas into reality.

Each week is organized around a different inspiring theme and full of projects carefully designed for every age group. Campers craft extraordinary works of art like spinning solar system mobiles, glowing neon signs and magical, multicolor monsters and engineer incredible inventions like rideable scooters, slingshot cars and animatronic animals—plus spend plenty of time playing, exploring and building their teamwork skills outdoors.  Here's what's happening in 2018:

  • The Incredible Human Body – The Art and Science of Being Human
  • Space Explorers – Cosmic Art and Astronaut Science
  • Road Trip Adventure – Art and Engineering on Route 66
  • Galileo Makers: Materials Challenge – Extraordinary Art and Inventions with Ordinary Supplies

Camp Galileo is hosted at Oso Grande Elementary School, in Ladera Ranch, June 25 to August 3, 2018,  9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Optional morning and afternoon extended care, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., with healthy lunch available. Learn more at or 800-854-3684.

Galileo strongly believes in “Camp for All.”  In fact, we’ll give over 5,000 weeks of specially priced camp this summer through our Financial Assistance program!  For more information and to apply, visit
