Guest Information

LOCATION
Commencement will be held at the Saddleback College Gymnasium. The Gymnasium is located on College Drive East and is across from the baseball field.

PARKING
You do NOT need a parking permit to park on campus during graduation. Parking will be free for all graduates and guests.

Accessible Parking and Guest Drop Off Area

Accessible parking is available for disabled and elderly individuals in Parking Lot 4 and 1B. Arrive early as parking is limited in these parking lots.

Accessible parking will also be available in limited, pre-designated areas on campus. They are available on a first come, first serve basis. All vehicles using accessible parking must have a DMV handicapped plate or placard.

Disabled and elderly passengers may be dropped off in Parking Lot 4C.

General Parking

Guests may park in any parking lots available. The closest parking Lots are 5A, 5, 7, and 4A. You can find more parking lots using the campus map.  https://www.saddleback.edu/maps

SEATING
Tickets are not required for guests to attend the graduation ceremony. Seating in the gymnasium are bleachers and do not have backs. Seating will fill up quickly so please arrive early to ensure a seat.

Overflow seating will be set up outside of the venue.

Strollers and car seats are not allowed in the gymnasium. There will be stroller parking outside of the gymnasium. Please plan ahead with this in mind.

Please refrain from bringing balloons to the ceremony as they can block the view of other guests. 

ACCOMMODATIONS

Special Accommodations for guest Seating:

If a member of your family cannot sit in the bleachers, please see a Saddleback Commencement Volunteer on the floor wearing a Commencement Volunteer Lanyard for seating accommodations.  We will do our best to assist. Space is limited. We can only allow one escort per disabled/elderly guest. It is a good idea to arrive early to allow for sufficient parking and walking time.

Guest Wheelchair:
Accessible wheelchair/scooter- seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis. A Saddleback volunteer will escort the person and one escort to the seating area. Wheelchairs/scooters are not provided by the college.

Interpreters:
The ceremony will be closed captioned on our Screens. Interpreters will be on site if needed.

STROLLER PARKING
Strollers are not permitted in the gymnasium. Please see a Saddleback Commencement Volunteer or follow signs for stroller parking.

TIMELINE
7:30a-8:45a   Check-in: graduates begin arriving
8:50a             Must be in seats
9 a                 Processional begins
11:00a           Commencement Ends (members of the audience will remain in their
                      seat until the recessional is complete).

GIFTS
Graduation marks an important milestone in the lives of the students. The Bookstore will be on site and also open in their physical location if you would like to purchase items.

Please refrain from bringing balloons to the venue as they may block other's view. 

FLOWERS
Flowers will be available for purchase at the ceremony.
