In this workshop, we'll review parametric curves, an important pre-requisite topic for Math 3C. If time allows, we may review some other important pre-req topics: polar coordinates and conic sections, but our focus will be on parametric curves. I've allotted 2 hours for this workshop, but we'll take a short break part-way through. Students are encouraged to attend in person, but are welcome to attend via zoom if they prefer.

Trig Review

Trig is used all the time in pre-calculus and calculus but many students struggle with it. If you've taken trig but struggle to remember and apply it, this workshop (and subsequent workshops I'll offer throughout the semester) is for you. I try to minimize the amount of material you need to memorize and focus instead on understanding and seeing connections. In this workshop, we'll review the definitions of the trig functions and how to evaluate trig functions at "nice" angles without using a calculator and without having to memorize a long list. Students are encouraged to attend in person, but are welcome to attend via zoom if they prefer.
