Congratulations Classified Employee Of The Year 2018 - 19
As a one-person-show in her Division, Christine Swanson is responsible for the oversight of several departments. Christine handles any and all tasks brought before her with a cheerfulness and exuberance not often seen in other divisions. Working on schedule and handling payroll and timecards should be enough to tire anyone out, but she finds the time and energy to handle all of the requests of the faculty who wouldn't be able to function without her knowledge, expertise, and time management skills. In addition, she helps out with all of the special events and projects of her department and can be seen supporting the entire division and school by attending several related division events, fundraising events, and dance productions.
Christine cheerfully assists her department in their fundraising events and special student recognition events, stepping up to take on leadership roles especially when others decline. This Classified Staff member has an excellent grasp of the larger picture, knowing what needs to get done in order for the division and the departments to find success, and she works hard to ensure that these departments and the students affected get the best experience possible. And her positive energy is contagious. Her division would likely be in dire straits if it wasn't for all of the extra work she puts into making our division great!
One of her Managers expresses: "I honestly don’t know how our department would operate without her. Christine has her hands in just about everything, is extremely hard working and efficient, very well organized, and is ALWAYS willing to help! Her division is not an easy one to work with as it has many moving parts with all the various types of classes, yet she truly manages to juggle all her duties and more; even organizes many events. Christine probably gets interrupted 100 times a day, yet still manages to get it all done. I am sincere when I say, I don’t know how she does it all! And I cannot stress enough her genuine care and kindness through it all. She’s the best!"
Please join us in congratulating Christine Swanson as the Saddleback College Classified Employee of the Year!
