New and Returning Students must Apply first!
New students and Returning students (those who have not taken classes for over one year) must complete the Emeritus Student Application, before registering for classes.
Once the application is processed, a New student will be emailed their assigned student ID number, and a Returning student will be emailed their previous, newly activated, student ID number. Your active student ID #, along with your PIN*, is necessary to access the registration system.
There are two ways to submit a Student Application:
- Complete and submit the Emeritus one-page paper application, print the Emeritus Institute application. Scan (or take a photo) of the signed application, and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org (recommended) or mail your application to:

- Complete the SC online application, click here for instructions. IMPORTANT: Online applicants should indicate educational development as their educational goal if planning to only take Emeritus Institute courses.
