Orlantha Nin started as a part-time counselor at Saddleback College in fall 2000. She has worked in various counseling and coordinator roles in the Transfer Center, General Counseling, EOPS/CARE, Teacher Preparation, CLASE, and the Honors Program. In 2012, she became a full-time counselor and Transfer Center Coordinator. She is currently a counselor in the EOPS/CARE program and a Counseling 100 instructor. Orlantha is proud to make her career in a community college because of the opportunities it brings to anyone seeking to better themselves through education. She works with students to help them develop their potential and remove barriers through education and empowerment. Prior to beginning her tenure at Saddleback College, Orlantha worked in student activities and coordinated the student orientation services at Cal Poly Pomona, she was later a career counselor at Cal State Long Beach and a corporate trainer for Freedom Communications. When she is not at Saddleback College, Orlantha enjoys spending time with her family, playing pickleball, watching movies or experimenting with new recipes.
