"There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening, that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique.  And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost."

                  --Martha Graham

"The cost of a thing is the amount of what I call life which is required to be exchanged for it, immediately or in the long run."

        --Henry David Thoreau

I have included several images from the various projects that students have contributed in classes I am teaching or have taught.

A special thank you to my students for your contributions to the world of art, for raising the level of quality and craftsmanship among your classmates, and for your interest in developing your creativity and finding your own inner voice.  It has been a pleasure being a part of your creative journey, if only for a little while.

I hope you will view your work with renewed  respect.  Revisit  your work occassionally and see your growth.

Never stop asking questions, and enjoy your artistic journey wherever it may take you!

Best always!

"The world of reality has its limits; the world of imagination is boundless."

"Look and you will find it--what is unsought will go undetected."

"Stop thinking and talking about it and there is nothing that you will not be able to know."

                                       --Zen Paradigm

"Living is a form of not being sure. not knowing what next or how.  The moment you know how, you begin to die a little.  The artist never entirely knows.  We guess.  We may be wrong, but we take leap after leap in the dark."

                                      --Agnes de Mille

"Shoot for the moon.  Even if you miss it you will land among the stars."
