Web and Mobile Boot camp Developers noncredit tuition-free Certificate

The web and mobile developer boot camp certificate provide students with a tuition-free option to pursue an entry-level career in the very fast-growing web and mobile development area. The sequence of three or more zero-unit classes covers basic web development skills of database, SQL, JavaScript/jQuery, Adobe, web page IDEs, WordPress, HTML, Bootstrap, CSS and responsive design. Responsive design is a methodology whereby multiple devices can view a single design. The goal is to mimic privately run coding boot camps. Coding boot camps are a high paced concentrated curriculum that prepares an individual for entry-level IT positions. Drawbacks of these boot camps are initial costs, and often job placement agencies take a portion of the first year’s salary. This certificate will cover current web developer skills similar to boot camps, but with no initial tuition costs or employment agreements. The certificate is geared to skills builders, recently out of work  IT professionals, individuals unable to afford boot camp bills,  or any student looking to enhance a college degree with important 21st-century skills.

Computer Information Systems and Cybersecurity Degrees Aligned w 4-yr Online IT Degrees WIP

WIPComing soon, we will have alignment to online 4-year IT-related degrees.
  • Schools we are currently looking at are National University, Brandman, Unversity of Phoenix, GCU, and ASU.
  • UCs never offer IT-related degrees, IT courses are taught at UC extensions.
  • CSU has a hand full of IT-related degrees.
  • The CIS degree will be very similar to the applications developer certificate.
  • The Cybersecurity degree will be very similar to our current Cybersecurity certificate.
  • If interested in transfering a 4-Year online college complete either Applications Developer or Cybersecurity Certficate.

Business Database/Data Analytics WIP

The business database analytics degree prepares students for emerging applied information technology-related 4-year data analytics degrees. Furthermore, the restrictive electives will allow a student to also prepare for traditional 4-year data science degrees. The core requirements of the degree introduce students to the key evolving data technologies including relational databases, SQL (defacto standard language for communicating to relational databases), data visualization, data modeling, database reporting using Tableau, big data, NoSQL, cloud and business intelligence using Microsoft's PowerBI and Excel.
