Thank you to all the Generous Gala Supporters!
The 18th Annual Saddleback College Foundation Gala was held on May 12th at the beautiful Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel. During the dinner program, Foundation Board President and Valedictorian sponsor Anthony Ferry thanked the sponsors and guests for investing in the dreams of many deserving, hardworking Saddleback College students. Thanks to the generosity of all the sponsors and those who participated in the auction and/or raised their paddle, proceeds will help students who are struggling to cover the costs of tuition, books and other non-academic barriers to success such as transportation and living expenses.
One of the highlights of the Gala was a video and speech by nursing student Brendon Lane. He shared how he discovered his calling as a result of a caring nurse. He expressed his gratitude to the guests and donors for their support saying, “Since I started pursuing a career in nursing, all I’ve ever wanted to do was make a difference in somebody’s life and help them through a difficult situation. And the help provided by donors like you really does make a difference that will affect us for the rest of our lives.”
Thanks to the success of the Gala, the Foundation has additional resources to help more students like Brendon realize their educational and career aspirations.
