ABOUT ATI TEAS TEST
All Nursing program applicants are required to take the ATI TEAS exam prior to applying. We do not accept the HESI A2 Exam. As of August 31, 2016, the TEAS V was retired and replaced by an updated version, the ATI TEAS (also referred to as the TEAS 6). The ATI TEAS exam is comprised of 170 questions set up in a multiple-choice format with four-option answers. The test is broken up in 4 sections:

NOTICE: We recommend waiting to take the TEAS test AFTER you have completed your nursing prerequisites which are: Anatomy, Microbiology, Physiology and English 1A.
REGISTRATION TO TAKE TEAS AT SADDLEBACK
Saddleback offers the exam for free, however you must be applying to our Nursing program to register through us. You do not need to register through Saddleback in order to apply to our program, you may register to take the TEAS exam anywhere. If you plan on registering with us, you will have to wait until the application is posted online and a spot has been reserved. Otherwise, you can register to take the TEAS exam elsewhere, to do so please click here.

To ensure you are comfortable with Remote Proctoring with Proctorio, you should complete a dry-run assessment prior to exam day on your own. You can find this dry-run assessment via the student portal > Test tab > Remote Proctoring Dry-Run. IMPORTANT: If you encounter any issues we will have a TEAS Exam Dry Run Troubleshoot on February, 2nd 2021. Ensure that you are taking the dry run on the same device in which you will be taking the ATI proctored assessment. Click here for instructions. Currently, we are not taking any reservations. An application to reserve a spot will be the last week of January. We will NOT accept old forms to reserve your spot. We will be asking for a $30.00 deposit check to reserve your seat. It is only cashed if you do not show up the day of the exam, or if you do not give us a 24 hour notice of cancellation.
We only accept the first passing score within 365 days. For example, say you took ATI TEAS in Jan 2019 and received a 79.3% score, you will have to wait approx. 365 days to retest if you want to aim/use a better score.
You must score with a 62% or above on the TEAS exam to apply to the RN program. If a student does not receive a passing score at Saddleback, a student must remediate to re-take the ATI TEAS exam within that 365 days.
