A college professor for 22 years, June’s experiences include care and education of infants and toddlers, preschool children, and substitute teaching in both public and private K-12 settings, and youth leadership in addition to raising three children. Areas of study include teaching methodology and curriculum development across disciplines, modalities, ages and stages; outdoor and environmental education, the influence of environments on children’s school experiences, and the effects of adults as positive role models for developing youth. June has volunteered for many years in community and youth group programs introducing children and families to camping and nature. When she is not teaching, June enjoys the outdoors, home projects, reading, gardening, cooking, walking her Airedale, and traveling.
