I am a Professor in the Environmental Studies Department. I instruct classes in many areas including Water Quality Resources, Ecology, Environmental Studies Internships, Soil and Water Conservation, and Introduction to Environmental Studies. I have a wide range of experience in the environmental studies field. Prior to joining Saddleback College, I had over 30 years of experience performing environmental science projects. Projects included water quality assessments, environmental impact studies, field investigations at hazardous waste sites, environmental assessment and compliance activities, development of site-specific feasibility studies, and environmental consulting. I have an excellent understanding of the environmental regulations which allows me to apply my knowledge and skills in developing environmentally sustainable solutions to address a wide range of environmental issues.
My overall goal is to ensure that students become knowledgeable about environmental, water, and ecological issues in Southern California. I encourage students to identify and work towards achieving their goals. It is important to me that the students develop their knowledge and expertise and use it for their success in the future.
When not at Saddleback College, I enjoy many activities including hiking, sailing, flying, and reading mystery/thriller novels.
