I have been involved in the field of Early Childhood Development for 45 years. I have worked as an aide, teacher, director, site supervisor, community college faculty and Infant Toddler Specialist. My work experience has been with coop non-profit pre schools, employer sponsored child care programs and State Pre School/Infant & Toddler programs. I have worked with children 0-12 years old and now in the arena of adult education. I currently am working for Teachstone LLC as a CLASS/MTP Coach, as well as my work here at Saddleback College. In the past I have worked for California's First 5 CDTC CLASS/MTP Pilot Project as a Coach/Mentor and West Ed's Partner for Quality/ Program Infant and Toddler Care (PITC) as an Infant Specialist. And recently as a ECE instructor for Victor Valley College and Long Beach City College. My passion is "quality care for children!" I received my Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees in Human Development, with specializations in Early Childhood Development and Adult Learning from Pacific Oaks College, but my true education in early development came from my daughter, it is as a parent that many lessons were learned. She truly is my teacher. I am also enjoying the role of grandma, where I know many more lessons await. Respect is the key to relationships, and relationships are the key to how children learn about the world. If we slow down, take our cues from the child, they will show us the way.
