Associate in Arts Degree in Kinesiology for transfer is awarded. Kinesiology classes offer an essential factor to the optimum development of a student in all areas of life through physiological, mechanical and psychological mechanisms. Core areas include; Aquatics, Combative Skills, Fitness, Individual Sports, Team Sports and Training and Theory. Occupational Skills Awards (OSA) are offered in Athletic Training, Coaching and Yoga Teacher Training (certification through the Yoga Alliance).
The Saddleback College athletics program is widely recognized as one of the top programs in the nation, competing in one of the top conferences in the state. Each year dozens of student-athletes transfer to four-year institutions...most of them earning scholarships for their efforts.
The Adapted Kinesiology (KNEA) Program serves students with a variety of disabilities in their exercise, fitness and wellness needs. Instructors knowledgeable in working with special populations teach these classes. Exercise programs are modified to meet the individual needs and goals of each student. Specialized equipment is available in each of our adapted resistance, cardiovascular, aquatics, sports, flexibility, yoga and outdoor recreation classes.
