Kelly Large joined Saddleback College in 2013. She currently teaches American Sign Language I and II in the Health and Human Services Department under the guidance of Dr. Rita Tamer. Kelly has taught for a combined total of 23 years in both the Carlsbad Unified School District and the Chula Vista Elementary School District. Her previous teaching experience includes 14 years of Bilingual/Bicultural Deaf education grades 3-6, and 5 years in general education in grades 4-5.
Kelly is currently completing her 3rd year of teaching American Sign Language at Carlsbad High School. With over two decades of teaching experience from grades kindergarten through college, Kelly brings a wealth of knowledge and a variety of language development experience to the adult second language learner.
As a working mother of three, ages 10-19, Kelly enjoys relaxing with family and friends in her spare time. Some of their favorite activities are movies, sports and vacationing together.
