Michael Bennett joined Saddleback College in 2008. His responsibilities include serving as the Adapted Kinesiology Program Chair and teaching Introduction to Therapy and Rehabilitation. He also serves as the Kinesiology Division’s representative on the Curriculum Committee.
Professor Bennett particularly enjoys designing exercise routines for the diverse students that make up the Adapted Kinesiology Program at Saddleback. He mentors many of our Saddleback students interested in allied health professions such as physical/occupational/speech therapy, nursing, and medicine.
Michael serves as a Local Program Coordinator for the college with the Orange County Special Olympics. He has spearheaded inclusive sporting events that pair Saddleback’s intercollegiate athletes with Special Olympic Athletes.
Prior to joining Saddleback College, Michael worked as a physical therapist at Saddleback Hospital in a variety of settings including pulmonary rehab, acute rehab, outpatient therapy and critical care. He lives in San Clemente with his wife and two daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys swimming and cheering on Saddleback’s athletic teams.
