Maria Mayenzet joined Saddleback College in August 2006 as Associate Faculty in the Theatre Arts Department. In January 2008, Maria joined the Communication Arts Department (Cinema Television and Radio) as Associate Faculty. She is currently a full-time faculty for the Cinema Television Radio Department while continuing to teach an introductory screen acting class for the Theatre Arts Department.

Prior to joining Saddleback College, Maria was a working professional actor in Hollywood for over twenty-five years. Maria has worked as a playwright, director and short film filmmaker since 2004. Maria was also an Associate Faculty member of CSULB from 2005-2011, teaching acting and critical theory. She is a respondent for the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival and faculty sponsor of Saddleback College's Improv Club and the Theatre Arts, Communication Arts Multi Media Club.

In her spare time, she enjoys Martial Arts and hiking with her family and two labradors.
