Saddleback Astronomy Foundation

Please Give to the Saddleback College Astronomy Foundation

Astronomy equipment is highly specialized and, hence, expensive by nature. Fortunately, with care, the equipment lasts a long time. The Astronomy Department strives to make all purchases wisely and we repair equipment on our own wherever possible. (The mount for our observatory telescope has been kept operational for over 25 years.) Your donations help not only to purchase new equipment, but to maintain and upgrade existing instruments.

Public viewings at the observatory are supported by your donations as well. In addition to viewing events open to the general public to look at the moon, planets and eclipses, Saddleback College also holds special viewings for elementary and high schools to increase the interest of students in the Sciences.

Donating is simple.  Here's how:

  1. Go to:
  2. In the Comments box (optional), indicate any specific or special intentions you have for your donation.
  3. Fill in the payment information on the website and submit. You will receive a formal letter from Saddleback College thanking you for the donations.

Thank you in advance for your generous gift!
