FREE SUPPORT COURSE TUTORING

FOR STUDENTS IN MATH COURSES WITH SUPPORT

Monday - Thursday: 8:00 am – 7:00 pm

Friday: 8:00 am – 2:00 pm

Located in LRC 212 and Online

Tutoring is available both in-person and online. Registration in the free, zero-unit course, TU 300, is required.


The Dr. Steve Sworder Memorial Mathematics Scholarship

Criteria for scholarship recipient:

  • Saddleback GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • GPA of 3.75 or higher for all Saddleback Mathematics courses.
  • Completion of at least two of the following courses with grades of A at Saddleback College: Math 3A, Math 3B, Math 3C, Math 24 or Math 26.
     

Students do not apply to be considered for this award.  The recipient is nominated and selected by the Saddleback College Mathematics Department.  A committee of three or more faculty from Saddleback College’s Mathematics Department will select the award recipient(s).  The award is aimed at students who have exhibited a high degree of mathematical proficiency.  If no candidate for the award is identified, the award will not be distributed that year.

The dollar amount of the award and number of awards distributed will be determined each year by the Saddleback College Mathematics Department, dependent upon the funds available and the quality of candidates under consideration.
