The Latin American Film Festival, honoring Hispanics in the United States, will present and discuss various films during the week of September 10th.
• Monday, September 10, 2018 at 4:30 pm in BGS 325: "Machuca" – A presentation and discussion will be held on this Chilean film.
• Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 7 pm in BGS 325: "No" – In 1988, Chilean military dictator, Augusto Pinochet, due to international pressure, is forced to call a plebiscite on his presidency. The country will vote YES or NO to Pinochet extending his rule for another eight years. More than 30,000 people were killed, tortured, disappeared after his coup on September 11, 1973.
• Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 7 pm in BGS 325: "Cesar Chavez" - The film is a biography of the civil rights activist and labor organizer.
