Live Virtual Spoken Word Performance featuring Gabriela Garcia Medina

As part of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Student Development Office has invited Gabriela Garcia Medina for a live spoken word performance on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 6 pm via Zoom.

Gabriela is a Cuban-American-British spoken word artist and filmmaker who utilizes the mediums of Film, Poetry, and Spoken Word to address issues of identity and social injustice (often through the use of humor, comedy, and light-heartedness). Gabriela received her BFA from UCLA's School of Theater, Film, and Television (2001-2005) with a major in Theater, and a double minor in Chicano/a Studies and African American Studies.  She holds two MFA degrees from California Institute of the Arts, in Acting, and Writing (2012-2015).
