A piano recital featuring guest artist, Peter Gach, will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at 2:30 pm in the McKinney Theatre.
Professor Emertius and former Chair of Performing Arts at Palomar College, Gach is a pianist of wide-ranging musical talent and interests. His repertoire extends from Bach and Chopin to contemporary works written by friends and colleagues, including Saddleback College’s own Norman Weston. Gach has spoken and performed at venues across the United States and in Poland, where he was honored with First Prize in the “Chopin in the XXIst Century” Competition for his lecture-recital, The Four Ballads of Chopin. Gach often performs to raise money for causes close to his heart, including Women Veteran’s with PTSD, North County Serenity House, the Hidden Valley Zen Center and causes related to music education. He also recently published Practice Makes Perfect: A Handbook for Musicians at Work, and a second work, The Perfect Performance: A Handbook for Musicians on Stage, is on the way.
Tickets purchased in advance are $15 for adults; $12 for seniors; and $10 for students. Tickets purchased at the event are $15.
