Transgender Day of Remembrance

Thursday, December 9, 2021 - 7:00pm

Transgender Day of Remembrances is an annual event observed on November 20, that honors the memory of the transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence.

Saddleback College will host Ariel Savage, policy coordinator at TruEvolution, a non-profit organization fighting for racial justice and health equity for LGBTQ+ people, on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 7 pm via Zoom. Click here for the Zoom link

Ariel recently spoke at the National Trans Visibility March (2021) and is spearheading TEAL (Trans Equity Advancement Lab) with TruEvolution. As a trans woman of color that grew up in the Inland Empire, Ariel is fiercely passionate about expanding care and support for trans people in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. Ariel graduated from Stanford University with a BA in American Studies, concentrating on art and activism in the US. Ariel envisions a world where she and her trans sisters & siblings have expansive access to gender-affirming healthcare, social support, and collective empowerment.
