Saddleback Students to Host Dog Fair: Proceeds Will Support Local Animal Shelters
The 2015 Dog Fair hosted by the students of Saddleback College’s business and entrepreneurship program will be held on Thursday, April 30th from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm on the campus quad. A portion of the funds raised during the event will support Orange County no-kill shelters and dog rescues.
This fun day will include spotlight adoptions, demonstrations by the Orange County Sheriff’s K-9 unit and Guide Dogs of America, and a presentation by trainers who are veterans of the United States Military.  Participants will have an opportunity to chat with local dog businesses or stop by the dog kissing booth. At 10:00 am, a special award honoring dogs who served in the military will be presented by Dr. James R. Wright, a trustee of the South Orange County Community College District.
Dog competitions for Best Ears, Best Tail Wagger, Best Trick, and Best Costume will be held, with prizes being awarded to the top dogs.
This event is open to the public. Those who make a $10 donation will receive two tickets to an opportunity drawing. Free parking will be provided in Lot 5A.
