Associate in Arts for Transfer

Associate in Arts for Transfer

Description

The AA-T for Art History is designed for those students primarily seeking employment in fields such as studio art, galleries, art auction, art journalism, art criticism, museums, and teaching. Additionally, students who transfer with an Art History degree are well-prepared for jobs in fields that require abstract and analytical thinking such as consulting, journalism, grant writing, and any other field where desirable candidates require a humanistic education. Students who complete the Associate in Arts in Art History for Transfer will receive priority admission to the California State University system, though admission to a specific campus is not guaranteed. While anĀ associate degree may support attempts to gain entry-level employment or promotion, a baccalaureate or higher degree is recommended for those considering professional careers, which can be achieved through transfer. The Art History program at Saddleback College does not currently have any enrollment limitations, but we offer our non-western art history courses on a rotating basis. This means that students may not be able to enroll in the specific non-western class of their choice before they must declare for graduation.
