Certificate of Achievement
Description
This certificate meets the coursework requirements for the Master Teacher level of the Child Development Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) and prepares students to be competent and effective teachers and caregivers for young children ages 0-8, supervisors of adults in early childhood settings, and to serve as a coordinator of curriculum and staff development. Developmental and learning theory as well as appropriate strategies will be studied and applied. Culturally sensitive and relationship based practice will be emphasized. Additional work experience with children and adults is required to obtain the CTC Master Teacher Permit. A minimum grade of "C" in each course is required to earn the certificate and/or qualify for the Child Development Permit
