Prior to Saddleback College, Tina Jenkins taught for Park University and CSU Fullerton in the psychology and sociology disciplines. Encouraging students to personalize, appreciate and enjoy the science of the mind is the motivation behind Tina's teaching methodology. Students can expect her classes to be engaging, interactive and organized; the learning process will be fun.
Before working in the academic community, Tina has been employed as a counselor, executive coach, trainer, manager and youth leader. Additionally, she volunteers with local community outreach initiatives to assist homeless and marginalized populations.
Recently, Tina combined her love of teaching with her passion for international travel by leading a study abroad course. In beautiful England, her students and she immersed themselves in the British psychology field while eating a whole lot of fish and chips along the way.
Another form of study has been raising two amazing children with the help of her supportive husband. As the mother of a preteen girl and teenage son, Tina has furthered her personal understanding of childhood development.
