What is Zoom?
Zoom is a tool for hosting online meetings and web conferences. Zoom is provided for free by the State's Chancellor's Office for all Saddleback employees. With Zoom, you can easily host and attend state-of-the-art video meetings right from your desktop, tablet, or smartphone. Use Zoom to give a PowerPoint presentation, demonstrate software, draw on a virtual whiteboard, or just meet virtually using a web cam. It’s also easy to record your Zoom meetings for later use!
Zoom in Canvas
The Faculty Center for Student Success has many great tools for faculty. Refer to their website here for information on using Canvas within Zoom.
Zoom Accounts
Technology Services created all Saddleback employees an account in April 2020. If you are a new employee, first sign up for a Zoom account. Click this link for instructions on creating a zoom account. Once you have an account, you are ready to create your own Zoom meetings!
ConferZoom (Zoom Pro) offers web based video conferencing, phone conferencing, screen sharing and chat. It works on Windows, Mac, Android and IOS. Please allow 48-72 hours for Palomar to create your account.
