The purpose of the SSCG is to provide students with additional financial aid to help offset the total cost of attendance and to encourage full-time enrollment and successful on-time completion. Students with 15 units or more per term, meeting the requirements above, will have eligibility for the maximum award.
The Student Success Completion Grant (SSCG) is a supplemental grant that provides additional funding for Cal Grant B or C recipients attending a California Community College full-time (12 units or more). Students will be automatically reviewed for eligibility if they meet the eligibility requirements. The SSCG provides students with an additional $2596 (12-14.99 units) - $8000 (15 or more units) annually depending on the number of units they enroll in. A student must complete a CADAA or FAFSA application to be considered.
NOTE: Funds are limited and they can run out; therefore, a disbursement is not guaranteed even if you were awarded during the fall semester. We prioritize awarding this grant to students with the highest unmet based on their financial aid file.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a Cal Grant B or C recipient that received a full-time Cal Grant payment
- Must be enrolled full-time (12 units or more)
- Must meet federal Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards
- Must have unmet need to receive the SSCG
