About This Event

Join us for Guardians of the Grid: The Social Engineering Trap, an interactive seminar designed to help you feel more informed and confident when navigating online spaces, being held on Monday, October 12, from 4 to 5:40 p.m. in HS 145 and via Zoom. Light refreshments will be provided for those in person.

Through a fictional scenario involving someone posing as an IT support technician, we’ll explore how social engineering works, how information available online can be used to make messages seem trustworthy, and simple steps you can take to protect your accounts and personal information.

No cybersecurity experience is needed. This is a space to learn, ask questions, share what you notice, and build skills you can use in college, at work, and in your everyday life.

This event will be held in person in HS 145 and via Zoom and YouTube. YouTube participants will be able to use the comments to ask questions and join the conversation.
