Kumu Hina Film Screening & Student Wellness Event

Join us in our film screening of Kumu Hina, a powerful film that follows Hina Wong-Kalu, a transgender native Hawaiian community leader. As a proud māhū (transgender woman) and honored kumu (teacher), Hina shows the struggle to maintain Pacific Islander culture and values within modern day Hawai'i. The film screening will be followed by a discussion, along with an open student wellness space in The Den (CC 104). Join us in community as we explore the intersections between culture, gender, and identity. Boba and pizza/salad lunch will be provided.
